As we all look forward to the summer time - the babies are new to the concept of "grass". It is something that keeps the close at hand in the yard - however when they are in their walkers, they tend to think it is something to eat!
We are trying to get to the park on a daily basis - and during our visit to the park, we swing and sit on the ground to have a snack. This concept is working out quite nicely - since the babies freak out when touching the grass. I can manage quite well with this setup.
If you notice - they hate grass so much - that they are having trouble deciding who should get the bottle and how important is it really to get the bottle? "We can let that one go - because there are two more here on the blanket - Yeah - or maybe we can get Mary to go get the bottle??" "but, dude, we really need the bottle?" "sis, seriously? I am so not getting the bottle - you want it - you get it" "augh" (notice that Mary is just happy and content and out of trouble sitting by herself in the corner - snacking).... (Anyway - end result - mom got the bottle)
In preparation for the possibility that some day they will like grass and the park will become a nightmare, my husband and I found the perfect solution:
Erect a park in the back yard! Here is our work in progress.... We will be adding the slide and rope swing and baby swings in the days to come - but it was a perfect solution for keeping the babies safe and near. So, I am thinking I can put them in the stroller and "pretend" walk to the park and end up back at home to swing and have a snack? Sounds good to me!!!!
BTW - after such hard work in the yard - it is time for watermelon....
Yep - that is how we roll. Zoltan, OUT!
