Asphalt 1 ... Sammy 0

Well folks, it is official, Samuel received his first major injury just days away from the visit to the doctor (who will in fact call child services to ensure proper treatment of the boy)...  Yes, he took a nice little spill while playing in the driveway with the ball.  We have this storm drain in our driveway and it has a little bit of a lip on it.  So when the babies get near it - they stop.  Instantly.
As Sammy was stopped at this storm drain, he began to lean forward to get the ball.  As he leaned his momentum took him over the side and WHAM - face plant into the driveway asphalt.   Maya runs to his rescue (I am a firm believer that you let the child shake it off to learn that each fall needs to be examined individually).  As she gets close to him she yells - "MOMMY!!!  HE IS BLEEEEEDING!!!!"    I yell back - "BE TOUGH and SHAKE IT OFF!"
(Mother of the Year title officially has been revoked!)
In all seriousness - he is fine.
Cried for about 15 seconds and went back to chasing the ball.

Here they all are playing outside - they seem to really enjoy it.
(notice my instant gate??) (genius)
The sun became too bright (hahahhhahha - it has rained for 40 days and 40 nights - what the hell does the sun even look like???)  so, we had to move to the back yard.

Real Troopers....
However - outside makes babies tired...
Awwww
(yea - she is really cute when she is not screaming!)

So that was our weekend....
Now I suffer with the yearly gift of "I am allergic to yard work" - and both my arms are broken out in itchy patches.   I keep telling my dear husband that I am allergic to Yard work - I think he finally believes me.   He laughs at his spotty wife!!!

As we started out our week - the babies are doing great - but obviously starving....

Pia
(yummm - mommy makes the best eggs and toast ever)
 Sammy
(just give me the food, woman!)
 Mary
(must say grace - Really???)
In any event.  Tomorrow they will be one!

Yea - Un-freakin'-believable.

ONE
UNO
YEK

I remember where we were a year ago - and look at where we are now!!
I only have one thing to say:

Let's eat CAKE!

Pictures will follow...!!!

Love to all -

I might have been smoking crack

Good Morning Guys!

So this is what I wake up to every morning.  Cute - Friendly - Smiling Faces.
They are even happy at breakfast - notice they are all eating in harmony.
So, today at snack time, I am trying to figure out a better way to pass out Cheerios.  Because you see I am lazy and enjoy doing nothing.  It is just too freakin' hard to pass out Cheerios one/two at a time.  So, I thought "hey - lets try bowls" - because they have to learn eventually, right?  Now - I already knew this was a bad idea - so please no comments about exactly how much crack I was smoking - okay???

Pia did okay - notice that she uses two hands to pickup the cheerios?
Mary is so damn excited - the bowls make noise when you bang them together!!!!
Sammy - well shit - Mary dumped his bowl so he is searching madly for the cheerios stuck in the carpet!  He is determined to find them all..
As the bowls come back into view - they realized it was more fun to play with the bowls - so we are benching the bowl idea for another day!!!    Gotta love new things.
And to finalize the day - I fed them toys!  Yes - if you look closely - you will see that everyone is eating an action figure  - from Mulan to Star Wars - we got it all!!!!

Hope you enjoyed today!  I sure did  :)   Zoltan OUT!!!

Its official - Spiderman Lives With US!

Do you remember the mystery jump from crib to crib?   Well we have figured out it means only one thing.  Spiderman lives with us!!!  Yes it is true.  Two things happened yesterday to confirm this theory.

Do you see this empty bouncer?
Well - she was in in a few minutes ago - and now where is she?  GONE....
Do you see this smooth move?
She is climbing the walls of Sammy's bed!
Seriously?   Yea - I think so!

And when asked to comment on his sisters super powers -
this is all we could get out of her brother:
It is obvious he is happy that he is not the one with the Super Powers!

Although he does have super "taste" - check out his purse...

Alas - the harmony comes together as they seem to always find their way to visit the big sister who has the coolest toys!!!   I find them in this position more often!!!
As Maya LOVES the attention - she is getting worried about the status of her toys!

Again another sleepless night - Mousa and I are in dire need of an un-interrupted night of sleep.  But that will come soon enough.  We are blaming the sleeplessness on the fact that the back teeth are starting to come in and we are sharing with them the pain of the moment!   Come On Teeth!!!!

On a lighter note - Everyone is walking.  Well sort of.   Sammy is doing the best.  He can walk across the room without help and he can push himself up without using anything for support.  Pia is trying.  She stands very well & takes caution steps (funny since she dives from abnormal heights without fear)  Mary took her first three steps yesterday!  She is standing very nice - only a little wobble.  So - now a new chapter will begin in our lives.   I am in search of bungee cords that will connect the three of them together - but allow them enough freedom to go in different directions.  Bwahhh   haaa haaa...  Delusional - I am.

Its a funny kind of story

On Thursday of last week, we had several fun things happen.

1. My children obviously are more interested in what is happening down the hall instead of the marvelous adventures of whatever their mom is trying to do with them.  As you can see - I had Mary with me playing until she realized that it was much cooler to look down the hall and watch the vacuum!
2.  Nap time turned into tragedy...   Everyone began in their own bed....  However, Pia decided to see if she could FLY and dove into her sisters bed.  (since this photo was taken, Pia's mattress has been lowered to prevent anymore possible diving occurrences)...
3.  As I don't have a picture of this, I took my girls out Thursday night to dairy queen and to the grocery.  As we were driving along in the car, Maya asked so nicely if she could maybe have a toy or something from the store if she were good?  I told her to look in her hand.  Well her right hand was empty and she said to me "there is nothing in my hand!".  I told her to look in her other hand.  She proceeds to move her ice cream from her left hand to her right hand.  She looks at her left hand and says "there is nothing in my hand!".  I then tell her to look in her other hand.  She proceeds to move her ice cream from her right hand back to her left hand.  She then becomes frustrated with me "Mommy!  There is really nothing in my hand!"  At this point, I am thinking we are  having a  Laurel and Hardy moment as I begin to giggle uncontrollably!  "Maya - your treat is  the yummy special ice cream.".....  "OH, she says!"   Too funny.  (Poor Paige!   She almost lost ice cream out of her nose - we laughed quite hard at Maya's expense)....

4.  And- for a feel bad for me moment....   Sammy and Pia and Mary are all in their walkers running around the place...   Pia (of course)  begins to announce her aggravation with this scene - so we take her out of her walker and let her crawl around on the floor.  Sammy got wind of Pia's freedom and he decided that he wanted out too.  Now lovely Mary who never complains, was taunted by her siblings.  "Look we got out and you are stuck in the walker!!!"   She is just a little bit pissed!    So - had to take this picture.  Priceless.
5. And finally - we went to the park for swinging on Saturday.  Now - as you all know - we only use two swings.  However we had to wait for the swings because a couple had both swings taken.  One for their child and the other for mom's purse!   WTH?  Seriously?  It was pretty priceless.   They took their time - and she never offered the Purse swing to us.   NICE!  What a way to teach your child about being nice to others. Here is hoping that her purse enjoyed the swing.

It  never ends......    Zoltan OUT!  :)

Pia has be re-listed on Ebay

Now - I have been through three children teething.  Granted, it was 25, 16 and 5 years ago,  AND it was one child at a time.  But I do remember that teething was hard and there were several sleepless nights.  Today I am not sure if my pants are on properly - or if my shirt is the right way.  But - Maya and Paige have made it to school - Marty takes care of himself - so I am batting 500!   The veins in my eyes have extra veins to make sure that they remember we have had several days of flowers and butterflies (yeah! and I have a bridge listed on Ebay that is selling in tandem with Pia - combined shipping).

It will get better.....

So - now that the nice weather is here - we are back to the park.
Swinging is the new favorite thing to do!!!

Sammy totally loves it:

Mary likes it and laughs the entire swing ride:

Pia is indifferent:

Yea - I took my children to the park in their PJ's at 3:00 in the afternoon!   You got a problem with that?   They like to be in their PJ's and I have to say it is the easiest form of actual "socks" -  as you all know, keeping socks on any child is about next to impossible.  Anyway,  on our walk back, I ran into a neighbor who had not seen the babies yet (it has been a long spring, summer, fall, winter and spring here in Ohio-sarcasm implied)....   And we were chatting and I told her we were on our way  home from the park....   Okay so she replies "Alone?  you went to the park with them alone?"   Now I am beginning to capture a theme of horror here when people talk to me and my freak show.  Yes, we went to the park alone.  (and the grocery and the store and on walks.....)  It is okay, we actually do very well.  I know it is a hard concept to grasp, but we have totally learned how to adapt and manage.  (obviously she did not see my cape, I was hiding it under my jacket - wink wink).

On return - we took our park dirty clothes off and had a drink and snack.....
Played a little hide and seek......

So there you have it.

BTW:  Pia has really had a hard time with the teeth.  She has been the most verbal and pretty much been "bitchy" now for about two weeks.  It is time for her to be placed back on Ebay - last time we did this - she got better....  Please know that the price for her includes shipping.  (but you have to pay extra for the shipping insurance)...   Love to all!   Zoltan, OUT!

Sammy walks - Pia drops bottle bombs - Mary is just so stinkin' cute

Well the time has come for a new video blog - today you will be treated to Sammy walking, Pia and her new game of bottle bombing & Mary just wants to be on camera.  (They are like a bunch of zombies).

Oh and I don't want to forget the puddle jumper.
We are outside waiting for the bus and she looks at me and asks "can I just jump in one puddle?"  Oh course I have to reply "NO!  With those awesome new boots you can jump in ALL the puddles".
I earned big HUGE mom bonus points for that answer!

Love to all!

Bath Time ...

Bath Time.  I have waited 11 months to enjoy bath time and make it fun instead of work.  Finally the day has arrived.   You see we get everyone naked (well almost - have to keep the pee zone covered) and then they go in one by one to get clean.  However, sometimes I get distracted as you will see here.
Picture #1:   Everyone is excited about bath time.
Picture #2:  Maya has asked me a question - and I had to walk away for just 15 seconds.   As you can see, Sammy just loves the toilet.  But the girls love the trash!  (heaven help me).
Pictures #3&4:  The total joy of having three babies in the bath tub together!

Picture #5: Well of course Sammy needs to keep his locks all fresh and brushed!

In the mean time, the reason Maya had distracted me is because she wanted me to see her new painting!

Go packers
...and this was not planned - she just painted them that way!!!

In closing  -  I have to apologize for the delay in blogging.  We have endured our 8 days of Passover (and the babies survived with out bread! - however I think they lost weight!).  And we had a wonderful visit from Auntie Arlene.  She was here for a week and we miss her already!  But she promises to come back in the fall.

On a good note - we went to the Neo Natal Doctor while Auntie was here, and the good news is that the babies tested at 11 months!  Which means that they have caught up to their real age and we are not behind anymore!  WHOOP WHOOP GO TEAM!  (see how cute they were on doctor day?)

(Mary and Pia)
 Sammy, Mary and Pia

So - I am back to blogging with my little vacation over!
You were warned!
Love to all.
