Lunch Time Video and Just a Swingin'

Just a glimpse of how we get from one room to another these days.  Not quickly - Not efficiently - Not organized - Not pretty - but this is how WE do it!!!

Enjoy "Lunch Time"

You will notice that they all ate lunch rather nicely today   :)
In the afternoon - I was contacted by my friend who has twins and she said to meet her at the park.  Now - the word park and Maya go hand in hand - Maya LOVES the park and it is only 3 blocks away.  So here we go.  Today it was nice enough to get in some serious swinging time - so EVERYONE got to swing today!!!!

Here is how it all went down....  Pia decided she wanted to try it out first....
Kinda cool
yea
this is kinda cool
Mary was getting restless so she went next....
Excellent - two for two - swinging is the new "happy" for our family.
There is only one problem.
The park only has two swings and I have three babies.
Damnit!
So - I do a bit of quick baby maneuvering.
I now know I am the smartest mom alive!!!
although Sammy is pissed because he is not sure of this swinging thing....
I am not gonna lie - I was looking around for child services to come and ask me if I was nuts putting the two babies in one swing - but they seemed to like it and all three were swinging together!  Ha - take that!
As for Maya - she waited so nicely and got to swing when the babies were all done.
And the final bonus is that it is 9:00 pm - EVERYONE is asleep AND I had time to write this blog!  BONUS.  (again - thinking I am the smartest mom alive)

Love to all!
Zoltan, OUT.

Whoops? I may have made an error!

They tell you at the doctor that you must stay away from certain foods with babies until they reach a certain age because of possible food allergies.  This being the case - Nuts and Honey are pretty much banned for any baby until they have reached a peak old age of one.  Now I wonder....  how the hell do the doctors know that this magical age of "one" is safe?  I mean I know they have medical school and many years of research - but as I just look at myself, I don't feel any different about a birthday (except when I turned 16, 18, 21, 30 and 40) - so how does the baby know that it is now okay to eat the forbidden foods????  Strange.

So - last night at the dinner table, after they had polished off the sweet potatoes, eggs, toast and oranges (yea - a crap load of food!) - they were looking for a snack....  So, I have graham crackers in the cabinet - and away we go!      Mommy is the greatest.....    They are chanting and giggling and eating and everyone is harmonious.   As the snack ended,  I received three reactions:

1. I am thirsty  (Pia)

2. What?  No more?   (Mary)

3. Are you seriously freakin' kidding me??  NO MORE???  (Sam a.k.a. LF)

Now - where I made the error?  These were Honey Grahams.   LOL - well - I don't really know the content of honey - but everyone loved them and they all seem to have survived the night.

The morning crying has just begun - LF is starving and he is letting me know it from his bed ...  (I am going to have to video tape the crying because it is too precious to describe....   If he could talk:  "MOMMY - I NEED A BOOOOTTTLLLLEEE...  oh sob sob...  MOMMMMMMMY.....   I  NEED A BOTTTTLLLEEE!")  When I walk into their room - the girls will be sitting so nicely playing and just smile at me - because hey - Sammy can spend all his energy - why should they waste theirs???

So - off I go to start my day - Larry, Moe and Curly await!    (just kidding...or am I)?

Zoltan OUT!

Yet another hellofa weekend

Update:  THE SICKNESS HAS NOT LEFT OUR FAMILY.

Over the week, the sickness has attacked everyone in the family - and we have suffered from projectile vomiting!   AUGH - it is especially nice when it becomes contagious and others are effected!  Gotta be grateful to the guy (or gal) who invented paper towel (must look that up).   With projectile vomiting comes recuperation and sleep time :   Yes the dude passed out in Tante A's lap and she just left him there!!!   You never disturb a quiet sleeping baby!!!    NEVER!

When you do - he ends up causing more trouble (notice the location of the boy??? - he has some how managed to get into the laundry basket as Mary tries to ignore him - but you all know what she is thinking).

So - thank goodness it was nice out on Sunday - we managed to get everyone out and some fresh air was long over due:

And so - we also decided it was nice enough to get to the park!!!!

And the babies slept!   NICE!

Now is the best part - last night we finally enjoyed a full meal - and everyone ate.  It was a change and hopefully we will have a livelier bunch as the week draws on - it has been a big challenge to console three at once - plus three other old ones, too!!!!  In closing I would like to introduce you to the next new big thing:

Spooning

Here is hoping for much more laughter this week....  I miss it.
Love to all!  Zoltan OUT.

PS:  I just looked up who invented paper towel and it seems appropriate that it was the combination of three people- I quote from the googled link: "So there you have it – a railroad car, a school teacher, and a true innovator led to the invention of paper towels in 1931."  HA!

It has been a hellofa weekend.

Our week ended with the usual problems.  We have a NON-eater in the family.  And I have to say that when you are trying to feed three babies and ONE just does not open her vice gripped mouth - well you think maybe she needs to be in "time-out" to just think about it?  Well that is where she went!
Yes - feel bad for her because she was put in the corner!   Little creep.  She feels like maybe she can feed herself ALL the time.  But oatmeal?  AUGH!   How do you let a 10 month old child feed herself oatmeal?

So - after breakfast - I needed to do a few things in the kitchen and the children were getting a little restless in their chairs.  I have a brilliant idea.  I have a big gate that we used for Maya - maybe it will fit and I can trap them in the kitchen with me - we will be harmonious :)     FAILURE....  You see the gate is 2 inches too short for the opening it needs to protect.  So, I think maybe if I can put the gate at its largest capacity, then I can lean it up against the high chairs and we should be golden.
Whoot!

FAILURE... What I did not expect was for the LF to PULL the gate toward him (notice the open drawer to keep the gate from falling in ward!)  Never a dull moment!   This  boy child - I have no words!

As I stated above - we have had a hellova weekend!   I think I finally know what it feels like to be hit in the face with an iron skillet!  Everyone continues to leak fiercely from the nose but now there is a twist.  Pia has started to run a fever and has become lethargic.  We watched her for 24 hours and finally she broke the fever!   We are tired- but we are happy that she is now fever free!!!

This being said - Sunday afternoon was the nicest playtime & dinner time we have endured in over 5 days.  I am hoping that we have a good week filled with some fun stories.   Because the last few days have been a blur to me and Mousa.  I am certain dad is beyond happy (maybe even joyous)  to have gone to work today :)

In closing - you can see our little rock star posing with Rabbit ears behind Sammy!!   She is feeling better, too!  It has run its course in our home!

SICKNESS GO AWAY!
